Biography >
Rachel is in the final year of a degree in Psychology at the University of Bath and also trains at the University’s high performance badminton centre. On completion of her degree she hopes to become a full-time badminton player.

Originally from Hertfordshire, Rachel has played at each of the last two World University Badminton Championships – in Thailand in 2004 and in China in 2006.

She first represented England at the Junior - 8 Nations, France (1999), Senior - Uber Cup, Holland (2008).

Rachel was ranked at number three in Badminton England’s women’s singles rankings in November 2006.

She reached the Grand Finals of the 2006 ASICS National Elite Open Circuit, but lost to outstanding youngster Michelle Cheung.

Rachel’s best performance last season was Slovenian International Series Semi-finalist (2009), beating 2nd& 4th seed. And her greatest career performance was U22 4 Nations Singles & Doubles Winner (2007) beating Camilla Sorenson and Karina Jorgenson.

In December 2006 Rachel was named on a 30-strong Development programme list of British badminton players targetting the London 2012 Olympic Games.
