Hat-trick of titles for Erin

Team Bath swimmer Erin Jeffery collected three senior titles at the weekend’s University of Bath Grand Prix.

The 18-year-old completed an individual medley double, winning the over-14s 200m and 400m IM titles, and also taking the 200m freestyle, before finishing runner-up in the 200m butterfly final.

Charlie Barnes collected a brace of titles, winning the 100m breaststroke and 200m finals.  She had to settle for bronze in the 50m breaststroke, where gold went to team-mate Alex Warren, who took bronze in both the 100m and 200m finals.

New Zealand international swimmer Te Rina Taite won the women’s 50m freestyle.

In the men’s races, University of Bath swimmer Simon Rex won the 15 and over 200m backstroke and the 200m individual medley.

Chris Cozens completed a freestyle double, wining the 50m and 100m finals at the thee-day competition held at the Sports Training Village. His performances earned him the top male swimmer at the meet award, while Kelly College swimmer Jennifer Oldham was top female and Portsmouth Northsea won top club.
