Former boss Tisdale gets one over on his old side

Team Bath FC went down 1-0 to a strong Exeter City side in front of a crowd of 750 people at St James Park in Exeter last night (Tuesday).

The first half saw the Football League side, who have just been promoted to League Two and are managed by former TeamBath FC head coach Paul Tisdale, field their strongest 11.

Sean Canham, Dean Smith and Takumi Ake all went close for the Students, during a half in which Team Bath keeper Jake Meredith was not troubled.

Team Bath’s Marc Canham hit the bar after the interval, in a half which lost its shape a little due to the number of substitutions.

Former Team Bath players Matt Taylor and George Friend both featured for City.

Taylor left the students 12 months ago and was Exeter’s Player of the Year last season, while Friend also impressed in a spell on loan at TeamBath the season before last.

Despite losing the match, Team Bath gave an excellent account of themselves with Marc Canham, Sami El-Abd and Gary Warren all performing solidly
