First AASE students graduate
The first University of Bath-based students to successfully complete the pioneering Advanced Apprenticeships in Sporting Excellence (AASE) programme will graduate next week.
The programme is designed to enable talented young athletes aged 16 to 18 to develop their sporting potential while continuing in education. The University of Bath’s programme is a partnership between the University’s Department of Sport Development and Wiltshire College.
The first young athletes to compete the programme the AASE programme locally are judo players Louise Little, Dan Cryer and Frank Goldsmith, beach volleyball player Jake Sheaf and hockey player Lewis Prosser.
Little, Sheaf and Prosser are about to begin studying for a foundation degree in Sports Performance at the University of Bath.
The group will receive their certificates at an AASE presentation evening at Combe Grove Manor in Bath at 7pm on Wednesday 24th September.
