The GB beach volleyball pairing of Robin Miedzybrodzki and Tom Lord missed out on a place in the main draw of the Myslowice Open in Poland.

The pair, who train at the University of Bath, had a bye in the opening round of the qualification draw and then lost their round two game at the FIVB World Tour competition.

They went down 21-13, 21-14 to the Russian pairing of Pavel Karoukhin and Evgeniy Romashkin, missing out on a round three qualification match, when a place in the main draw would have been at stake.

Miedzybrodzki is studying for a Civil Engineering degree at the University of Bath while Lord studies Sports Performance and also works at Department of Sport.

British Volleyball’s beach volleyball programme is based at the University of Bath.
