Freeman-Pask finishes eighth at World Champs

There was disappointment for University of Bath graduates Adam Freeman-Pask and Marcus Bateman at the World Rowing Championships in Poland. Freeman-Pask had to settle for a place in the B final of the lightweight single scull after finishing sixth in his semi-final in Poznan. The University of Bath-based pair of Shauna Mullin and Zara Dampney achieved their best result yet on the Swatch FIVB World Tour when they came ninth at the Otera Open in Kristiansand, Norway. Graduates prepare for rowing world championships

University of Bath graduates Marcus Bateman and Adam Freeman-Pask will both be in World Championships action for the GB Rowing Team in Poland next week. Bateman is a member of the GB men’s quadruple scull. Harris heading for World Champs Grand Final

University of Bath graduate Aaron Harris has been named by British Triathlon as part of its squad to compete at the Dextro Energy ITU World Championships Series Grand Final in Australia next month. The 21-year-old Sports Performance graduate races in the under-23 category at the Gold Coast. He finished 42nd in the senior men’s race at Hyde Park in the London round of the World Championships last weekend.

Trio prepare for Bath debuts

Three of University of Bath's high performance rugby group will make their debuts for Bath RFC at this weekend's Middlesex sevens Paul Roberts and Ted Stagg of the University 1st XV plus Team Bath Academy prospect Ben Loosemore all feature in the squad. Three other university players due to arrive September 2009 are also making their Bath RFC debuts -  Matt Spellman, Matt Keyte and Joe Ellyatt.
