Young Briton Freyja Prentice finished 12th in her first World Cup Final in Moscow on Saturday (19 June).

The 20-year-old University of Bath Biology student was joined in the team for Moscow by French & Politics student Samantha Murray, who finished 24th, and Katy Burke (Sports Performance), who was 27th.

All three were making their World Cup Final debuts.

In the men’s competition, Nick Woodbridge came 14th – the highest finish by a British man at a World Cup Final for five years. Team-mate Sam Weale came 25th.

All five athletes train at the Pentathlon GB high performance centre at the University of Bath.

Qualification for the World Cup Final is based on performances in World Cup Series events throughout the season.
