Biography >
Craig is one of Great Britain’s hottest young sprinting prospects and already has a host of international successes to his name. Craig moved to the University of Bath in the summer of 2005 to study for a Sport and Exercise Science degree and train in Malcolm Arnold’s sprint group – which also includes Olympic gold medallist Jason Gardener. In 2002 he won bronze over 100m at the World Junior Championships in Kingston, Jamaica.

He moved to fifth on the British all-time list for 100m when he ran 10.22 seconds to win the Loughborough International race in May 2005. In July 2005 he won gold for Great Britain at the European Junior Championships in Lithuania, winning the final in 10.51 seconds. He was reserve on the British 4×100m relay squad at the 2005 World Athletics Championships. Craig is reigning British Universities 100m champion.

Craig started his 2007 indoor season in outstanding form – cutting his 60m personal best from 6.71 seconds to 6.68 in January, and then a week later, to 6.63 – bettering the GB qualification standard for the European Indoor Championships. 6.63 seconds was also the fastest time by GB runner this year. His performances earned him the TeamBath Athlete of the Month accolade.
