Biography >
Marcus Bascombe was a regular visitor to the Team Bath Judo Programme since the age of 14, where he was coached by his Father Neil Bascombe at Poole Bay Judo Club. Following a spell at the former National Judo academy Marcus rejoined the Team Bath Judo Programme in 2005.

His hard work paid off when he won the 2005 Elite Performance Junior Trials beating the current European Cadet champion in the process.

Marcus was a gold medallist in the 2006 Junior A Tournament in Portugal. He is a member of the BJA Performance Development Squad, and is preparing to compete in the Beijing and London Olympic games.
