Barry Edwards – Head Physiotherapist

Barry intially qualified as gym instructor / personal trainer and massage therapist. Then later qualified as Chartered Physiotherapist in 1998 and completed a masters degree in Science of Sports Injury in 2006.

He has worked as one of the Physiotherapy team for the GB Judo squad since 2001 and has treated and rehabilitated athletes from a number of sports since starting here and has a special interest in core stability and Swiss ball work.

Barry is now also Physiotherapist to the GB Beach Volleyball squad.

Barry’s own fitness background is that of boxing and karate in which I hold a black belt gained in 1984.  He teaches boxercise and step aerobics and enjoys road cycling.
