BUCS Weekly Update – Week 9
Sports people of Bath,
First of all lets get the record straight, Score is on Wednesday this week as usual! Over 1000 of you packed it out last week so be sure not to miss out!
Last week we saw Swimming named “Team of the Week,” the first tournament sport to receive the honour this year.
This came after their 1’s and 2’s both won their respective Southern Region Qualifying Rounds following up on their success at the BUCS Short Course individuals the previous weekend.
Other notable results included the Netball 1’s complete destruction of Cardiff, winning 95-13. Their continued fine form is so impressive that their scheduled opposition for the cup this week, Leeds, decided not to travel down and have given our girls a bye.
Yet again the Badminton club showed their strength in depth with all of their teams in action winning.
This week the Match of the Week is a little different in that it is not a BUCS sport, nor on a Wednesday.
Fight Night on Thursday evening sees the Kickboxing club taking on Cambridge. Tickets are on sale over the next couple of days on Parade priced at £5. Doors open at 6pm, be sure to get yourself down for a great night!
This is the time of year when fixtures start to get tough, people start to pick up injuries and you have to keep pushing even harder to dig out those wins.
Play Proud,
Chris Clements
