28 May 2012

Team Bath’s Yasmin Parsons made her senior international debut this weekend as England retained the Netball Europe Open trophy.

Yasmin (pictured), a University of Bath Sports Performance student, made her first senior England start in the 66-42 victory over Scotland on Sunday.

She becomes the fourth Team Bath player to make her senior England debut in the last 12 months, following in the footsteps of Kadeen Corbin, Gemma Fletcher and Mia Ritchie.

All four players featured for England during the Netball Europe Open, at which England also beat Northern Ireland 69-54 and Wales 65-40.

Yasmin, Kadeen and Mia all receive Trendell Scholarships, which support student athletes to help them develop their sporting aspirations alongside their academic studies.
