Date change for Hadia’s opening match at London 2012
The badminton schedule for the opening weekend of action at the London 2012 Olympic Games has changed, meaning University of Bath student Hadia Hosny El Said’s first contest now takes place on Sunday (29 July) instead of Saturday.
The Egyptian badminton player, who is studying for an MSc in Medical Biosciences at the University, now opens her account against Ireland’s Chloe Magee at 20.17 on Sunday.
She follows that up with a tough clash again number 16 seed Hongyan Pi at 20.52 on Monday.

Some 25 athletes currently based at the University of Bath have been selected to compete at the London 2012 Olympics, with further University and sporting alumni also competing at the Games. There is also a list of selected athletes with their biographies on the Team Bath website.
