Tomorrow (Saturday) marks the final day of sporting action at what has been a fantastic Bath 2013 Special Olympics National Summer Games. The Games are organised by Special Olympics GB, a charity providing year-round sports training and competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities (also known as learning disabilities) in England, Scotland and Wales. Team Bath judo players Jan Gosiewski and Emmanuel Nartey both missed out on the medals at the World Championships after landing tough draws in their opening contests in Brazil yesterday (Wednesday). University of Bath student and sports scholar Katie Tomsett is celebrating winning a silver medal at sailing’s 470 European Junior Championships. It was another highly successful year for Team Bath MCTA Tennis Academy players at the British Junior National Tennis Championships, held at Nottingham Tennis Centre, with two winners and a finalist. Strong Team Bath presence in England squad
