Millward in seven-medal haul at Euro Champs

Bath-based swimmer Stephanie Millward is celebrating a seven-medal haul at the IPC European Championships in Holland.

Millward, who trains with the Aquae Sulis Performance Swimming Club, collected five gold medals, one silver and a bronze at the championships in Eindhoven.

She won her first gold of the championships in the S9 400m freestyle and another gold followed in the S9 100m freestyle. She followed that up with silver in the SM9 200m individual medley in a British one-two-three.

On the penultimate day of the competition Millward added S9 100m backstroke gold and 4x100m freestyle relay (34-point) gold to her medal haul.

She rounded off her campaign with a bronze in the S9 100m butterfly and by helping the GB team women’s 4x100m medley relay quartet to gold.
