Car parking information

The car parks are particularly busy during term-time and we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause some of our customers.

We would like to remind all visitors using the Pay & Display facilities that drivers MUST park in allocated Pay & Display areas only. We would ask all customers to continue to park in the appropriate areas and zones and to leave disabled parking spaces free for those who are eligible to use them.

The parking wardens frequently visit the car parks and parking charge notices will be issued; if a parking charge notice is issued staff at the University do not deal with payment or appeals and communication should follow the guidelines on the notice itself.

Please note that the Sports Training Village does not have any influence over parking and these notices.

JustPark

Visitors can now pay for parking using the JustPark app, phone line or SMS service. The car parking machines across campus no longer take card or cash payments.

JustPark App: This is available on both Android and iOS phones. Download and register to use the app, then pay for your parking using the location ID.  There is a 10p booking fee for using the JustPark app to pay for parking but you will receive free reminder notifications and will no longer be required to display a pay and display ticket.

JustPark SMS Service: You will need to register with JustPark to use the SMS service. Once registered you can text 07520 634455 with the location ID, duration in hours and/or minutes and the last 4 digits of your registered card e.g. 1234 3 hours 5678. There is a 10p booking fee charge for paying by SMS, as well as a 20p SMS confirmation charge. SMS messages will charged at your standard network rate.

JustPark Phone Line: To pay for parking using the JustPark phoneline call 01234 862178 and follow the instructions. There will be a 10p booking fee charge and an optional SMS confirmation can be sent to you for an additional 20p, as well as a SMS reminder which would also be an additional 20p.

Accessibility

There are disabled parking spaces in all campus car parks, with the closest to the STV being located in Car Park G in the South car park. There is a ground-level access route directly to reception – please call 01225 386339 and our reception staff can direct you. Car Park E in the East car park is the best alternative car park for wheelchair users.

If you have a Blue Badge, you can use disabled parking spaces free of charge. Staff should display an Exempt permit and Blue Badge when parked in disabled spaces.
