Fitness Qualifications
The National Fitness Academy

Through Team Bath you can qualify to be: a fitness or circuits instructor; a personal trainer; a strength and conditioning coach or a sports massage therapist.
We also have a course to become a Talent Athlete Lifestyle Support advisor.
Our courses, which start at various times throughout the year, are delivered through a choice of part time, full time and distance learning courses so that you can fit your studying around your lifestyle.
Our courses are quality assured by CYQ, Active IQ and 1st4Sport and allow students to apply for registration with the Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs) , Sports Therapy Organisation (STO) and the Complimentary and Natural Healthcare council.
Courses
We offer the following courses:
- Level 2: CYQ Certificate in Fitness Instruction, CYQ Certificate in Circuits Instruction, 1st4Sport Certificate in Strength & Conditioning.
- Level 3: CYQ Certificate in Personal Training, Active IQ Certificate in Sports Massage Therapy, 1st4Sport Certificate in Strength & Conditioning, 1st4Sport Certificate in TASS TALS.
- Level 4: Active IQ Certificate in Sports Massage Therapy.

Facilities
Team Bath offers some of the best sports facilities in the UK in an inspirational environment. The £30 million Sports Training Village is the hub of these facilities and is open seven days a week for student and elite sportsmen and women as well as public sport and recreation.

Scholarships are available for talented sportsmen and sportswomen from a range of sports.

Zambia IDEALS Project
The Department of Sports Development & Recreation is an active participant in a Sports Leadership Project which takes place in Zambia each year.
