New Sports Scholarship for 2012 Applicants
Academically able students, who also have outstanding sport potential, will be able to apply for a new Sports Scholarship which will be available for students commencing their studies in October 2012.
Mr William Whiteley a graduate of the University of Bath has agreed to donate a sum of money to the University in order to support one student each year throughout the duration of their degree programme.
Students must be accepted on a full time under-graduate degree of at least three years duration in the school of Management, Faculty of Engineering and Design or the Department of Economics and must be able to make a positive impact on the University’s Sports Standing.
The value of the Scholarship is £5,000 per year and will sit alongside the additional support Team Bath athletes receive such as gym access, lifestyle support and access to Sports Medicine and Sports Science.
This Scholarship sits alongside the Chris Allen, Jeff Trendell and Santander Sports Scholarships which are available to students to help them develop their sporting aspirations alongside their academic studies.
Funding for these scholarships comes from a range of sources including public and private sector grants as well as the generosity of individuals who are alumni of Bath and who know just how special our learning environment can be.
We advise that those wishing to apply for scholarships also make contact with the Head Coaches relevant to your chosen sport. A full list of coach contact details can be found at our Directory of Personnel.
