
Talent Development
The University of Bath is the High Performance centre for the South and South West regions of England Netball, the Performance development programme includes full time and part time athletes, training either on site or in one of seven Talent and Performance centres across the two regions.
The coaching staff at Bath and across the centres includes six current or previous national and national age group coaches. The programme involves technical development, strength and conditioning and sports science support services.

The athletes are expected to grow as people and complete their academic studies. Contribution is made to the community through screening days, workshops and coach development activity. The unit also provides support to schools, regional and national netball initiatives.

Clubs
University of Bath netball club
University of Bath netball club, Double BUSA Champions 04/05 and Club of the Year for 2005/06 The Netball Club benefits from the world class facilities and support that the university has to offer, and after a successful season last year we now have four BUSA teams who play matches on a Wednesday.
Training times are from 6-8pm (dependent on your team) on a Monday night. Recreational sessions are also on a Monday night for those who just want to join in and have some fun.
The Netball Club boasts a number of international players as some of its members and we intend to increase these numbers. The university club has always been renowned for being friendly, committed, active club and always welcomes new members.
Come and join us on a Monday night for training or recreation netball, it’s your choice. If training sounds too much like hard work then come and support the teams when we play at home in the STV, check the timetable for home matches. See bathstudent.com for further details.

Team Bath Tigers
Team Bath Tigers Netball Club (formerly Bath Netball Club) is a thriving and dynamic club that has been competing in the South West for over 30 years.
The club fields four senior teams, and nine junior teams, all playing competitive netball from County to Regional standard. The club is a Silver CAPS accredited club.
The club welcomes new members from U12’s upwards, and offer training to suit all ages and abilities. Throughout the junior and senior squads the clubs coaching aim is to bring out the best in each member whatever their ability, and just as importantly to enjoy it. The progression of many promising juniors to senior level each year brings an injection of youth and energy that keeps the club continually developing.

Skills awards are available for players through Team Bath Tribe.
Coaching
All the squads based at Team Bath have regular training sessions. These are often early in the morning or in the evening and weekends in order to fit around work, school or University study commitments.

Advanced Apprenticeship in Sporting Excellence programme (AASE)
The Advanced Apprenticeship in Sporting Excellence programme (AASE) is designed to enable athletes aged 16 to 18 to develop their potential in their sport, whilst continuing in education. The AASE programme enables structured development of the athlete both educationally and as a competitor.
