University of Bath-based sprinter Craig Pickering will contest the 100m sprint at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, it was announced today (Saturday). The University of Bath Sport and Exercise Science student had already been named in the sprint relay squad but has now been told he will also run in the 100m at his first Olympic Games. Teenage sprinter Ben Rushgrove earned a Nationwide Achievement Award for his stunning performances at the Visa Paralympic World Cup.
