Rookies:

Taught by our registered Rookies teachers this programme is the junior award scheme for the Royal Life Saving Society UK (RLSS UK).

As a Rookie, you will learn special  life saving skills to help you save yourself and know what to do if others get into difficulty on the water.

The awards contain survival, rescue and sport skills as well as life support and water safety elements.

The programme is split into three stages: Bronze, Silver and Gold. Being a Rookie is great fun and a valuable life skill.

Mini polo:

With our recently purchased mini polo goals we introduce the fun and growing sport of Mini polo (An introduction to Waterpolo). Our qualified teachers will run this course looking at the basic skills and techniques needed to perform in this sport.

Children will learn the rules and get the opportunity to play small sided games during the sessions. A high energy ball game designed for children to have fun in the water and utilise those swim skills learnt in the ‘Learn to Swim’ programme.

Swim School ASA Levels 1-6

We have a range of classes from Level 1 Tadpoles (Non-Swimmer) to Level 6 Octopus (Advanced) which run in different combinations of 25 minute slots from Monday to Friday between 16:00 and 18:00, and Saturday between 10:30 and 12:30 in our 25m pool.

Parent & Baby ASA Swim A Song

Hydrotherapy poolThe age range for this group is from 6months to 1.5 years. We have eleven 30 minute classes a week for this group which are Monday to Friday at 10:00 or 13:30 or Saturday 09:15. All lessons are 25minutes and take place in the Hydro (Warm) pool.

Preschool Swim ASA Duckling Awards Stages 1-5

TeamBath Swim SchoolThe age range for this group is from 1.5 years up to 4 years. We have eleven 30 minute classes a week for this group which are Monday to Friday at 10:30 or 14:00 or Saturday 09:45. All lessons are 25minutes and take place in the Hydro (warm) pool.

ASA Level 2 Frog Beginner Develop submersion and swimming independently 10m. Some basic skills.
ASA Level 3 Sprat Intermediate Develop safe entries, water safety. Travelling in water including rotation
ASA Level 4 Fish Intermediate Looking at buoyancy, and refining the kick for all strokes
ASA Level 5 Seahorse Advanced Inclusion of sculling and treading water, understanding water movement
ASA Level 6 Octopus Advanced Co-ordinating breathing whilst still swimming effectively. Technically able

Sport Science for Schools & Colleges

The Team Bath Human Performance Centre invites you and your students to experience ‘Sport Science Support in Action’ at the University of Bath!

This programme provides your students with the opportunity to learn more about the science of sport and how it is applied to elite athletes.  It is an exciting way to support your curriculum and facilitate the delivery of key concepts in sports science, and is tailored to meet your requirements (i.e. age and level of your group) therefore students studying at GCSE, A-Level or at Further Education will benefit alike.
