Performance Swimming
The University of Bath is one of only five UK centres to host an >
Intensive Training Centre for British Swimming (ITC).
This provides a daily world class training environment for swimming development aimed at building on the success of Beijing 2008 while looking towards the London 2012 Games.
Swimmers representing the University do not have to become students in order to train at the facility – although many are undergraduates on general or sports-related degrees.
Leading swimmers such as double World Champion Mark Foster, three times Olympian Jaime King, British Record Holder Darren Mew, Robin Francis, Stacey Tadd and Olympic medallist, Paul Palmer, have - amongst many other top internationals - made Bath their home.
