Undergraduate
Foundation Degree in Sport (Sports Performance)
This Foundation Degree is available as a full-time or part-time option. It has been designed with the elite athlete in mind. A range of units, specific to the elite sports performer, are delivered in combination with more general topics which will prepare young athletes for a range of potential careers in sport. BSc (Hons) in Sport (Sports Performance) (Work Based Learning)
The Honours Year programme is studied on a one year full-time basis and offers progression for those students successfully completing the FdSc Sport (Sports Performance) or equivalent. Study for this programme is at Honours Level and therefore students enter at Intermediate Level. The honours year programmes adopt the same work-based learning approach as our foundation degrees, but add value by preparing students for potential, longer-term leadership roles at work while providing subject-specific knowledge at honours level. Students continue to study Sports Performance at honours level, building on the expertise acquired during their foundation degree (or equivalent) and further developing the critical, analytical, and reflective approach valued by employers.

BA in Coach Education and Sports Development
Develop a strong understanding of how to enhance individuals’ participation, performance of sport and physical activity. This full-time degree draws on applied subjects such as education, psychology, management, sociology and various principles of training and deals with the key concepts and principles that underpin sport. www.bath.ac.uk/education/coached/
BSc in Sport and Exercise Science
The School for Health offers the renowned BSc in Sport and Exercise Science programme, which is continuously ranked top nationally. The strengths of the programme are the science based curriculum, regular laboratory work in small groups and professional placement opportunities. Sports Engineering
This degree provides a thorough grounding in the skills required for the application of modern engineering techniques to the design and manufacture of sports equipment and facilities, from modern running shoes to Formula One cars and racing bicycles. MSc in Physiotherapy
The School for Health and the Department of Sports Development and Recreation are working in partnership to develop a postgraduate programme in Sports Physiotherapy. A Masters Level programme in the Sports Physiotherapy specialty in the format proposed by the University of Bath is not offered at any other higher education institution in the UK. There is an opportunity to develop a physiotherapy specific postgraduate degree via a combination of interactive distance learning and clinical opportunity utilising the University expertise in e-learning and clinical service delivery in Sports Physiotherapy. Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme
The Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme (TASS) is a Government funded programme that represents a unique partnership between sport and higher education. TASS aims to bridge the gap in sport’s talent development pathway between junior representative sport and world-class levels for our most talented 16 to 25 year old sports men and women.
