Britain’s bobsleigh women finished 14th and 16th in the World Championships in Switzerland.

Jackie Davies and her brakeman Paula Walker came home 14th in the GB2 crew at St Moritz with a pair of 13th place finishes and two 17th place finishes.

The GB1 crews of Nicola Minichiello and Lauren Therin finished 16th overall. Their best performance was an eighth fastest time in the third of four runs. The Brtitish crews do some of their training at the University of Bath, where facilities include a push-start track.

Some 24 crews took part in the championships, with gold going to the Germany 2 crew of Sandra Kyritsis and Romy Logsch – who produced the best performances in each of their runs.

The University of Bath has one of the leading university sports departments in the UK. Under its Team Bath brand, its success is based on the expertise and dedication of staff, and its excellent facilities, used by the community and Olympic medal winners alike.
