The British bobsleigh crew of Jackie Davies and Paula Walker finished 10th in their first World Cup outing of the season.
The pair, who do some of their training at the University of Bath, secured a top-10 finish overall with the ninth fastest times in each of the two runs.
The event, which took place at Cesana Pariol in Italy, was round six of the eight-round 2006/7 season.
Gold went to Germany’s reigning World Champion Sandra Kiriasis and her brakeman Anja Schneiderheinze-Stoeckel. Kiriasis won her third successive World Cup round and now shares the lead in the overall rankings in a three-way tie.
