Ben’s achievements recognised with award

Teenage sprinter Ben Rushgrove earned a Nationwide Achievement Award for his stunning performances at the Visa Paralympic World Cup.

The 19-year-old University of Bath student was named winner of the Male Athletics award after sprinting to two gold medals and a world record at the Visa Paralympic World Cup in Manchester.

Ben Rushgrove medals (WinCE)The Sports Performance student, who is coached by Rob Ellchuk at the University of Bath, smashed the T36 200m world record and later added gold in the T36 100m at the event on Sunday.

US wheelchair racer Jessica Galli won the Women’s Athletics award.
