World Cup silver for Minichiello

The British bobsleigh crew of Nicola Minichiello and Gillian Cooke won their first World Cup medal of the season by taking silver at the Konigssee track in Germany at the weekend.
 
The British pair finished just 0.14 seconds behind the USA1 crew of Shauna Rohbock and Valerie Fleming over two runs.
 
It means driver Minichiello, who does some of her training at the University of Bath, climbs to fifth in the overall 2008/9 World Cup rankings,
 
Her results in World Cup events so far this season have been ninth, seventh, sixth and now second.
 
The GBR2 crew of Paula Walker and Kelly Thomas finished 19th in Konigssee.
 
The World Cup action now moves to the St Moritz track in Switzerland.
