Mariana helps England secure 5-0 win over Wales

University of Bath student and badminton player Mariana Agathangelou made a successful European Team Championships debut last night (Thursday).

The 20-year-old Coach Education and Sports Development student partnered Jenny Wallwork in England’s women’s doubles tie against Wales at the championships, which are being held in Liverpool.

The England pair comfortably beat Carissa Turner and Caroline Harvey 21-12, 21-16 as England went on to secure a 5-0 victory over Wales.

England top their group in the pool phase, winning both of their matches to date.
