European team silver for Mariana

University of Bath student Mariana Agathangelou collected a silver medal for her role for England at badminton’s European Team Championships.

England finished runners-up as they went down 3-2 to Denmark in the final of the competition, which was held in Liverpool.

Agathangelou, a 20-year-old Coach Education and Sports Development student at the University of Bath, played one match in the competition – winning the women’s doubles contest partnering Jenny Wallwork as England beat Wales 5-0 in the pool phase.
