Darren selected for Euros

Team Bath judo player Darren Harris has been selected to represent Great Britain at next month’s Visually Impaired European Championships in Hungary.

Darren is a member of Britain’s five-strong team for the championships, which take place in Debrecen from 3-5 July.

He contests the under-66kg class, the division in which he competed at the Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games.

Last month Darren won gold in the under-66kg class at the German Open, when he also collected gold in the open class for under-60kg, under-66kg and under-73kg athletes.

He has contested the last two European Championships, winning silver in the under-66kg class in 2007 in Azerbaijan.
