Junior Beach Volleyball Grand Slam arrives in Bath

26 June 2009

Some of the brightest young beach volleyball players in the south west will be in action at the University of Bath at the Team Bath Junior Beach Volleyball Grand Slam Tournament on Saturday 4th July.

The event is part of the South West Volleyball Association’s inaugural Junior Beach Tour.

The tour features eight events culminating in the finals at Sandbanks in Dorset in September.

The Team Bath event takes place on the outdoor beach at the University of Bath Sports Training Village. It is also one of three grand slams to feature on the tour, with the overall winner of those competitions securing the 2009 Triple Crown.

There are competitions for players aged under-12, under-14, under-16 and under-18 teams.  A responsible adult must accompany all teams with players aged under-16. There is an entry fee of £5 per team.
