Student rugby takes centre stage at the Rec on Wednesday 7th October when the University of Bath take on local rivals the University of Bristol.
The contest is the opening game for both sides in this season’s British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) fixture list and is the first BUCS game to be played at Bath Rugby’s famous Recreation Ground.
The two sides play in BUCS Premier South A – the top flight of university rugby in the region.
Both sides will be looking to get their 2009/10 campaigns off to a strong start in the fixture. The season reaches its climax when the top two teams in the country face each other in the BUCS Championship final at Twickenham on 21st April.
The 7th October clash kicks-off at 7.15pm, with gates to the Rec open from 6pm. Admission costs just £3 with free entry for under-16s.
Tickets will be available on the gate or can be bought in advance. For further ticket information please contact Lisa on 01225 384267.
The Rec has already hosted three epic clashes between the universities of Bath and Loughborough.
