Swimming. Senior Performance Squad.

Te Rina anchored the New Zealand 4×100m and 4×200m freestyle relay quartets that both won silvers at the 2005 World University Games.

In April 2006 Te Rina was named winner of one of just 52 New Zealand Universities Blue Awards for outstanding sporting and acadmeic achievements in 2005, when she was a student at Massey University. She was one of just eight swimming winners.

She was also on a three-strong shortlist for the New Zealand Universities Maori Sportsperson of the Year 2005. The award went to netballer Joline Henry.
