Biography:
Alexander started swimming at 4 years old with his local swim school on the Channel Islands. The opportunity came to join the training squad at the Beau Sejour Barracudas at the age of ten, he jumped at the chance and began swimming competitively when he turned 11.
Known as Xander to his friends, he qualified for his first national championships at the age of 13.
He has represented Guernsey at many games, including the 2008 Commonwealth Youth Games in Pune, India, where he carried the island’s flag. He was as captain of Millfield School swimming from 2008 to 2009 and University of Bath swimming captain from 2010 to 2011.
Alexander is a member of a nine-strong Guernsey swimming team selected for Glasgow 2014. A University of Bath graduate in French and Spanish with European Studies, he is currently back at the University studying for a Masters in International Security.
