Team Bath has launched a new Health and Fitness in the Workplace initiative to help businesses ensure they have a fit, healthy and happy workforce.
The initiative combines a number of activities that are already offered to members of the public by Team Bath’s world-leading team of sports medicine and sport science practitioners at the University of Bath Sports Injury Clinic.
Precise packages can be tailored to the requirements of individual companies and can include one-to-one health and exercise screening, postural screening and massage. Each of these sessions lasts for 30 minutes.
Team Bath also offers a range of valuable group educational sessions as part of the package covering key topics such as nutrition, core stability and lifestyle management.
Feedback from each individual appointment is given on the spot, along with advice on potential follow-up with one of Team Bath’s health and fitness experts. This could include developing an exercise programme with the assistance of one of Team Bath’s strength and conditioning coaches, arranging for a full body screening with a physiotherapist or an individual consultation with a lifestyle mentor or sports nutritionist.
A comprehensive fitness assessment can be arranged at the Sports Training Village for the more serious sportsmen or women.
The cost of Health and Fitness in the Workplace packages depends on the precise packages selected, but start at less than £500 a month. This can cover a monthly visit covering a range of activities or a weekly visit spread throughout the month, with health screening one week, postural screening another week and massage on another.
Claire Lane, Applied Sport Scientist and Sports Nutritionist, said: “It’s in the interests of businesses to ensure their employees are fit, healthy and happy, and our Health and Fitness in the Workplace initiative can help with that.
“We can offer a range of packages tailored to meet the requirements of different companies, be they large or small.
“Taking advantage of our Health and Fitness in the Workplace initiative can also help businesses to demonstrate that they have the wellbeing of their employees at heart.”
