Swimmers return to Bath with haul of medals and titles

15 March 2011

University of Bath-based swimmers produced some impressive results at the British Championships, returning to Bath with a string of medals and titles.

Sports Performance student Michael Jamieson, who trains with the British Gas Intensive Training Centre Bath, completed a 100m and 200m breaststroke double, setting a qualification time for July’s World Championships in Shanghai in the process.

Stacey Tadd, who trains with the University performance group, also collected a brace of titles but just missed out on the qualification times for the World Championships.

Chemical Engineering student and ITC swimmer Andrew Willis collected silver in the 200m breaststroke in a World Championships qualification time.

Kate Grey and Liz Johnson both collected silver medals in the multi-disability competitions and achieved qualification times for the International Paralympic Committee European Championships in Berlin in July.  The pair both train with the University of Bath performance group.
