Biography:

Mhairi’s 2012 World Championships gold medal made her the first British woman to win indiviudal gold at a Modern Pentathlon World Championships since Steph Cook in 2001.

She was inspired to take up the sport by watching the performances of Cook and Kate Allenby at the Sydney 2000 Olympics.

Winning trio: Kate French, Samantha Murray and Mhairi SpenceMhairi has a BA in Coach Education and Sports Development from the University of Bath and she trains at the Pentathlon GB High Performance Centre at the University.
