Thursday 14th August saw Mark Foster swim his 50m freestyle heat in an impressive time of 22.35s, finishing sixth. It was not fast enough to progress to the next round.
The oldest member of the swimming squad, Beijing 2008 is the 38 year old’s fifth Olympic Games. Missed qualifying time for Athens 2004 by 0.07s. First selected for GBR in 1985, has won 47 major international medals, despite failing to reach the podium at an Olympic Games. Carried flag for GBR at the Beijing 2008 Opening Ceremony.
