Kate made her breakthrough in 2013 when she finished 10th in the individual competitions at both the World and the European Championship, and helped the British women’s teams to team golds at both competitions. Her performances that year earned her one of two Pentathlon GB Outstanding Performance of  the Year awards.

Rio 2016

A slow start saw her placed 19th after the fencing round before a good swim and a flawless ride moved her to within chances of a medal ahead of the combined run/shoot.

An impressive run moved Kate higher again, but she could only achieve sixth place in a competitive field of modern pentathletes.
