Biography >
Steve grew up a few minutes from Wimbledon and had aspirations of playing in the final on the Stadium court. He still has dreams of playing in the finals on Sunday but the arena has changed slightly. When he was 10 his family moved to Florida. They lived quite close to the beach and Steve started to spend more and more time there. When he was fifteen he played his first beach volleyball tournament and ever since he has been hooked.
After playing indoor volleyball briefly for University of New Haven, CT, USA. Steve started to focus on playing beach volleyball. He worked my way through the Florida tours and on to the AVP Crocs tour.
Between 2002 and 2007 he won over 60 tournaments along the Eastern Seaboard and in 2006 finished in the top 25 on the AVP Crocs tour. His partner, Mike DiPierro and Steve have multiple victories against top ten teams on the AVP. They also had 20 other tournament victories in a row through 2006 and 2007.In 2007 he was offered the opportunity to train with the British Olympic Beach team and compete on the FIVB World Tour. Steve is now training in Bath.
Steve’s ambition is to medal in 2012.
Steve’s hobbies include golf, poker, reading, tennis and disc golf.

In the last two years he has competed in 33 international events with top finishes of 13th in Black pool and Spain and a 9th in a Cyprus challanger.
