Jane joined Team Bath May 2011.
Jane works with a variety of different sports including British Swimming and many of the Team Bath teams including hockey, football, netball and rugby, as well as treating members of the public and university staff and TASS athletes.
She has been qualified as a physiotherapist for ten years and has had a wide range of experience, both in the NHS and in private practice in London and in New Zealand before moving to Bath in 2011.
She worked at both the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic games and at the British Swimming Championships. She has also provided physiotherapy for runners at the London marathon and has travelled with GB Bobsleigh.
Additionally, she has worked in the French Alps and so has a lot of experience of treating skiing and snowboarding injuries.
Jane recognises the importance of keeping up-to-date with the most current research and practices and is currently doing an MSc in Advanced Neuromusculoskeletal Physiotherapy (which includes specific sports physiotherapy modules).
She has also completed a wide range of post-graduate courses including taping, sports massage and manual therapy courses.
She is qualified in both acupuncture and Pilates and uses these to compliment her other physiotherapy skills in order to get the best results for her patients, both in terms of optimal recovery from injury as well as prevention of future injuries.
Jane enjoys a number of sports including snowboarding and running and has just completed her first marathon.
Having had a few sports injuries herself, she has great empathy for her clients’ desire for a speedy return to sport and activities. She will therefore go the extra mile to do everything she can in order to aid recovery from injury and to make her clients stronger and fitter than they were before their injury.
