Title: Mini Tennis Performance Coach

Ben has been coaching tennis full-time for almost 10 years and is currently an LTA Level 4 Senior Performance Coach. He has a degree in Sports Development and Coaching.

During Ben’s coaching career he has worked with players of wide range of ages and abilities; from beginners right through to players winning National Championships. His real passion is working with young talented players from 6-14 years old, developing them to have a love of the game and to help them in achieving their goals of high performance tennis.

Before joining Team Bath Ben coached at Exmouth Tennis Centre where he ran thriving coaching programmes at a six-court and four-court club in Devon. He received the Devon Coach of the Year Award in 2012 after his work to develop tennis in the county.

At Team Bath Ben is Head of U10 Performance Tennis and has been developing county, regional and national level U10 players. For the work he has done with raising standards and developing a strong programme Ben was awarded Avon Coach of the Year for 2016.

Ben says: “For me the greatest joy of coaching comes from seeing young players improve and grow to love the game. Tennis is an absolute passion and I always try and reflect that in my coaching. I believe that with hard work, determination and loads of fun along the way, young children can achieve so much and tennis can be a catalyst to build confident and successful young people in all walks of life.”
