Biography > Dr Kristan Bromley, or “Dr Ice” as he is sometimes know, was a slider from 1994 to 2015. The former University of Bath employee took up the sport as a result of a PhD Research Project. He designed a sledge, became the test pilot and two years later, in 1996, found himself representing Great Britain at the World Cup.
During a hugely successful career, he competed at four Olympic Games and was the overall World Cup Series winner in both 2003-04 and 2007-08, as well as a double European Champion.
