Biography >
Originally from Middlesbrough Mark joined the Royal Air Force in 1989 as a Telecommunications Engineer and was posted to the Gulf, Shetland Islands, Colerne and Weston Super Mare.

He left the RAF in 1998 and is now working as a Technical Project Manager for Nokia Siemens Networks.

Mark has a wife, Melanie, who plays for the mum’s team and a son Samuel who is in the Academy U11’s.

He joined Buccaneers as Director of Development in 2003, after many years as Secretary at City of Bath HC, with the primary aim to achieve England Hockey Clubs First Accreditation. This was done in record time allowing the club to proceed with the successful bid for £100,000 for the refurbishment of pitch 1. He took on and completely redeveloped the Buccaneers website in 2007 and lead the introduction of the on-line database with fixture and member management system.

Mark is currently coaching juniors and mums on Sunday mornings.

After playing in goal for the majority of his playing career he fancied a change this season and has taken to the pitch for the Ancient Mariners.
