Volunteers are being sought to help out at ParalympicsGB’s next preparation camps at the University of Bath as the British team continues its preparations for the London 2012 Paralympic Games.
British Paralympic athletes, coaches and support staff from across a dozen sports will attend the next preparation camp at the University in August.
The camps are designed to simulate those being held immediately before the 2012 Paralympic Games, helping athletes to familiarise themselves with their surroundings before that final camp.
This August’s preparation camps will run from 14 to 28 August. Team Bath is currently looking for volunteers to help out with the second week of activities, from 19 August.
This is a unique opportunity to be involved with the British team’s preparations for the London 2012 Paralympic Games. Volunteers perform vital roles and will contribute directly to the success of British athletes in London.
Volunteers, who must be 16 or over, will help with a range of activities, including meeting and greeting athletes at their accommodation, supporting athletes and team managers during training, setting up sports venues and medical rooms, assisting with arrivals and departures, helping with car parking, helping out at meal times and office based duties.
You can download a copy of the ParalympicsGB 2011 Simulation Camp Volunteer Application Form from the Team Bath website or email Rachel Seymour in the Team Bath Events Team.
Please note, the forms need to be returned to Rachel by Wednesday 22 June.
