Stacey & Chris complete doubles

Team Bath-based swimmers Stacey Tadd and Chris Walker-Hebborn both completed impressive doubles at the ASA National Championships in Sheffield last night (Thursday).

University of Bath Swimming Club member Stacey Tadd added the 100m breaststroke title to the 200m title she won the previous day. As on Wednesday, she did it in style by setting an English record. Her 1:09.14 saw her win the 100m by almost two seconds.

Chris Walker-Hebborn, who trains at the British Gas ITC Bath, added the 100m backstroke title to the 200m title he won earlier this week. He also achieved the qualifying time for next month’s World Championships for the second time.

The ASA Nationals conclude tonight (Friday).

The World Championships take place in Shanghai next month. Seven Team Bath-based swimmers have achieved qualifying times for the competition.
