A good weekend for University of Bath athletes
Megan Southwart (Coach Colin Bovell, Foundation Sports Performance) won the U20 400m Hurdles in a European Junior Championships Qualifying time of 59.49s and now sits on top of the UK Junior rankings with one week left before selection. She is looking forward to traveling to Tallin, Estonia but faces a nail bitting weeks wait before selection takes place.
Dan Talbot (Foundation sports performance) battled hard for 1st place in the U23 200m in 21.01s with Joseph Kibirige 5th in 21.68s (Coach Colin Bovell, Foundation Sports Performance)
Jack Green (coach Malcom Arnold, Foundation sports performance) ran 49.06 to gain 2nd in the 400m Hurdles with the same time as the winner. This time is a qualifier for the Euro U23 Championships and the World Senior Champs. Simon Merril (Coach Colin Bovell, BSc Sports Performance) came 5th with 51.17 personal best.
Andrew Pozzi (Bath based and Malcolm Arnold coached) won the Junior 110m Hurdles and qualified for the European junior Championships.
John Bird (coach David Saker, Psychology) ran a 1.50.29 Personal Best for second in the Junior 800m and Alex Warner (Economics) came 3rd in the hammer with 63.36m.
