Score: Hereford 0 – 1 Team Bath
Venue: Away
Team Bath picked up all three points in their National League opener against a well organised Hereford side.
For large parts of the game Bath had plenty of possession and were probing to break down the Hereford defence and the home goal keeper who was in great form.
As Bath picked up the pace of the game more chances were being created. Half way through the first half some good work between Kitson and Parkes down the left found Kitson with the room to cut the ball back into the box for league debutant Clarke to slot the ball home to make it 1-0.
Hereford did have their moments during the game hitting the bar from a tight angle but Lima in the Bath goal looked solid throughout.
Bath created the better chances in the second half with Ingram and Dorin going very close after but shooting just wide.
Team Bath finished the job off prefessionally looking strong defensively which is a positive step in the right direction at this early stage in the league.
