Name of event: FA National League Futsal

Date and time of event: Sunday 16 October 18.00pm Ko

Score: Birmingham Tigers 1 – 3 Team Bath

Venue: Futsal Birmingham Arena

Team Bath produced a solid away performance to take the three points back home with them after beating Birmingham Tigers in the FA National Futsal League.

Bath started the first half the stronger of the two teams going 1-0 up through Ian Parkes who scored after four minutes from a Mark Ingram diagonal pass that caught the Tigers defence a little flat.

However, as the half wore on the home team slowly got back into the match by pressing Team Bath deep into their own half.

This caused Bath into a couple of mistakes allowing Tigers to equalise shortly before the break, stealing possession and finishing off a swift counter attacking move.

In the second half Tigers continued where they left the first half probing at the Bath defence but were resigned to long range efforts from wide areas on the court.

As Tigers pushed forward this left space for Bath to exploit in behind their defence and two goals in the space of three minutes won the game for Bath.

First a break down the right saw Captain Dave Jennings more away from his marker and square a lovely pass for Sion Kitson to score at the back post.

Then shortly after, Man of the Match, Sam Dorin turned on an accurate Jose Lima throw to hit a low volley from 15 yards into the right hand corner of the goal.

In the last five minutes Tigers opted to attack using the power play but struggled to find a way through the Bath defensive shape.

Time ticked away and Team Bath won the game 3-1.

It was a good game of Futsal played by both teams and a good advert for English Futsal.

Team Bath: Lima (GK), Kitson, Jennings (c), Parkes, Ingram, Dorin (MOM), Gardiner, Clarke
