Renee McGregor Bsc(hons)RD PGCERT(sportsnutr) is a registered dietitian and sports nutritionist based at the University of Bath Sports Injury Clinic and Human Performance Centre.

Renee is a keen sports person herself and trains with Team Bath athletics club.
She often competes in middle to long distance races and team relay events. This has helped her to recognise the importance of training and how the right type of nutrition will enhance performance.
In preparation for my third marathon I was looking for way to improve my training. Having run for 25 years, I felt that my knowledge of how to get myself to the peak of fitness was pretty well complete. However, the one area that I had ignored consistently over that period was my diet. I decided that to reach my full potential at the marathon distance I could no longer ignore this and asked Renee to have a look at my diet and recommend changes and improvements. Renee did a thorough and scientific analysis which she summarised and then gave me some advice on changes I could make. I found the analysis complete, accurate and extremely useful and the advice, which I put into practice, gave me the belief to change things I needed to and gave me confidence in the things I was doing right. In addition to the analysis, Renee gave me an incredible pre-race eating plan which I followed. I had a great run going under the 3 hour mark! My recovery was quick and this I definitely attribute to Renee’s advice – Thank you so much Renee!
